The Activity Room

The Activity Room

Clients enter the property from the car park into the activity room area, which is fully fenced. From here only the activity room, the roses and some other smaller garden beds and the outdoor art and craft area can be accessed. On nice days the umbrellas can be used to provide shade outside for crafts, reading or games.

Kitchenette

One half of the Activity Room has a multi-purpose kitchenette, with a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities plus basic cooking/meal preparation, making it possible for a client to bring in an egg from the chooks to cook for lunch or prepare a simple salad from the vegetable garden.

Art and Craft

The Activity Room is stocked with plenty of art and craft materials to suit all ages. Art and craft can either be done inside or just outside the room at the tables. For more adventurous artists, the easel can be taken down near the animals to allow for painting and drawing them.

Sacs 4 Schools (Kloud Sacs)

The Activity Room has two sensory foam filled pods designed specifically for learning areas. Clients are supported in the pods and it is a fun way to enhance the learning environment.

Games and Puzzles 

The Activity Room has many games and puzzles available to entertain and enhance a client's visit. Most have an animal theme but there are also some classic favorites.

Equine Role Play

As part of the Equine Facilitated Learning, the Activity Room has a large set of Schleich toy horses. Schleich creates realistic and high quality replica horses. Each Schleich horse or pony is hand painted with precision detail. They promote imaginative and creative play
